Welcome to 2022!

I know we’re all ready to bid “adieu” to 2021 and COVID school closings, remote teaching, classroom reintegration, and sheer exhaustion. What a YEAR! But it wasn’t all bad.

Teachers and administrators across the globe did what they’ve always done in the face of adversity. They stepped up to the challenge, and we are proud to say we played our part. The numbers below speak for themselves, but one in particular caught my eye. Literably saved teachers 231 school years of teaching time. That’s 41,580 days or 291,060 hours our teachers got back!

I started my journey towards founding Literably as a public school employee, and I was amazed by two things:

  • How many talented and dedicated people we have working to educate our students and
  • How much time and effort was lost or wasted due to operational inefficiencies associated with assessing children accurately, especially when it comes to literacy.

I made it my mission to solve that problem, and Literably is the result. We’re very proud to be making a difference for teachers, but we’re not stopping there. We’re refining our platform, adding products that support the 5 pillars of literacy (phonological awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary and comprehension), and providing teachers and administrators with the tools they need to identify reading challenges at the child, classroom and district level.

We owe a huge thank you to all of the teachers and administrators who have embraced a new solution and partnered with us to refine it. We’re so grateful for the opportunity to serve you. As we bid farewell to 2021, we look forward to writing a new story for literacy assessment, one that empowers teachers with the time and insight they need to drive powerful growth for students. 2022 will be challenging, but I can’t wait to see what we can accomplish TOGETHER.
