When a Student Inverts 2 Words

One common question we receive from graders is how to grade a recording when a student inverts the order of 2 words. For example, suppose a student reads "the black cat" as "the cat black."

In this case, you would want to mark one of the 2 words as unread, and insert the other word, to match the order in which the student read the words. The following two ways of grading this would both be correct:
